Rosacea-prone skin is affected by diffuse and temporary redness. It appears in reaction to an external stimulus such as a sudden and significant change in temperature, eating spicy food or even intense emotions. Blood flow increases and redness appears almost immediately on the surface. After a few minutes, the blood vessels return to their initial size and temporary redness disappears.
